william howard home is the brainchild of Caren Rankin, product of the fashion world who always loved interior design. Established in 2008, william howard home was named after the owners two grandfathers both from Brooklyn, NY. William Rankin was a weights & measure inspector for the City of New York under Mayor Jimmy Walker. Howard Coughlin was a house painter and when not working for other people, his wife Florence Coughlin, would have him wallpapering and painting the rooms in their house every 2 years. He was a great Faux painter, he would use a comb to create the look of wood grain, and this was in the 1940's!
